Well finally starting it! so here goes nothing...

I got my 05 CGM WRX back in August.
Here's what it looked like when i got it.

Painted the rims black and took off the wing.

and then a couple weeks after i got it,

DUN DUN DUN

BAM! ROD KNOCK

now im in the process of rebuilding the engine. the reason i spun a rod bearing is that the sh!tstain that owned the car before me apparently rebuilt the engine, but let his 3 year old put it all back together. there was silicone sealer EVERYWHERE, causing the crank cradle oil passages to be clogged and starved the rods and crank of oil.

As of 11-3-09, the engine is back in the car and running like a champ

11-16-09, I added a 3" mandrel bent exhaust from eastside muffler with an hks carbon ti muffler... sounds awesome!

11-22-09, I had a little incident on the way home from mt high, basically my snowboard didnt want to stay in my roof rack so it decided to take a little flight and take some of the paint from my roof with it, not to mention what it did to my new board!!

(note to self: ALWAYS lock your roof rack, dumbass)

im taking the car into the shop next week to get that all handled. i decided im gonna get the roof painted gloss black... lemme know what you guys think, but ive seen it on some scoobys and it looks pretty sweet. im also getting the holes in my trunk from the wing filled in and repainted. it should all be done by next friday... when i get it back ill post some pics up!

12-8-09, Finally got the car back from the paint shop! The trunk is filled in very nicely and im now rocking the black roof! i also put my bumper splitters on.

ill get a daytime pic soon, but this is all i could snap tonight

FUTURE PLANS:

Exterior
STI bumper splitters and fog covers
Front windows tinted

Performance
Stage 2 for now(all i need is the dp)
STI TMIC
Up pipe
VF39
Injectors
YIMI SPORT tune

Springs (dont know what exactly i want yet)

LOL at the ending but atleast you gain knowledge through rebuilding the engine :]

Rod knock within 2 months? I'm guessing the original owner didn't take care of the car too well. GL with the rebuild.

thats what im guessing too.. thanks man! i should have the heads back from the machine shop by the end of the week and the whole thing should be back together and in the car by tuesday if everything goes right! *knocks on wood*
