Default Dac's Shaggin Wagon

This is a story all about how
my car got all smashed up but made it through
And I like to take a minute
and sit right there
and tell you all about the adventures of my Subaru

ok I don't even think I could keep that up for the rest of the post so I'll just start the rest of my post. :P

Had the engine worked on over at Garage Tuning (super nice guys) and then proceeded to break the car for the recommended 3k miles. The day after I break it in what happens? A guy blows through a red light and smashes the side of the vehicle

Well that blows. Right after Christmas too! I thought it would've been a total loss but to my surprise, the insurance company decided to fix it. After a few months without my car here is how she came back:

There's also a lifetime warranty on the work so if I ever notice anything wrong with the paint/body I can take it back and they'll fix it for no cost. Gives me some peace of mind.

Other than the hybrid motor nothing else has been done except an ERZ exhaust with an UP/DP waiting to be installed. Once those go on I'll be looking at some suspension upgrades (which seem a tad limited for wagons).

In March of 2008 I got a job as a private investigator. With the job came my own surveillance vehicle (Honda Odyssey) so the Suby spends most of her time in the garage and occasionally comes out on weekends. I think I've put on less than 6k miles since then. If I'm not using the Odyssey I'm usually driving the GF's Scion TC around.

We are looking at turning the wagon into our project/fun car that will see track use as well as the occasional trip up the mountain so I'm hoping with the knowledge gained on here we will be able to find a good fun balance.

As for now the first thing I need to do show her some love. She's been sitting in my garage for 2 months with the occasional start up. Gonna change the oil and get her all cleaned up!!

Looks like you have a great starting point to make a great all around driving car. This is the place to get the low down on getting the car handling perfect.

it didn't actually blow. I was just trying to think of something to rhyme with Subaru. :P

I changed it around to be more accurate!

Just let me know when your ready to do this! You can put together a wagon that is just as good as any sedan! It's just a little trickier sometimes.

glad that you got your car back, however if you're planning on going with an ERZ uppipe, i'd reconsider. there's some horror stories about it over on nasioc

The catback is a ERZ...the uppipe is HKS. Debating about getting rid of it though so I can pick up one with a flex pipe.
