I purchased my STi on the evening of March 29, 2005 with 2 miles on the odometer, exactly 2 months after I closed escrow on my house. I wanted to purchase the 2004 STi but I think I made a better choice in waiting for the 2005. The car wasn't even prepped yet since it had just come off the truck an hour before I got there. I test drove the car with all the protective plastic sheeting still attached (think enterprise commercial with the gift wrapped car and only the driver's windshield that is not covered). At the time, Lancaster Subaru had the only available Aspen White STi in the entire state of California. It was just pure luck that I found the car and color I wanted relatively close to SCV. Anyway, in the next three months after I purchased the car, I placed over 8k miles on the odometer. I didn't want to place too many miles on Casper so I decided to buy a daily driver in the form of a 2004 Ford Ranger. Buying the DD helped because after almost 5 years of ownership this coming April, I placed just under 33K miles on the odometer. That averages to 6.6K miles per year. Not bad eh? As long as I keep the mileage pretty low, I shouldn't have any problems in selling the car when that time comes. Now that Casper spends a lot of time in a covered garage, the modifications started with the following list along with JDM parts:

First ever meet Casper and I attended. All STi's including the #27 ESX car on the right. This was the Friday Night In n Out Meet before it became the YimiSport Friday Night Meet.
