How I got my Subie... Hmmm.... It goes back through a long time of wishing. Starting from the beginning, back in 04 I got my first car was the proud owner of a 66 VW, the car was my pride and joy! It got me hooked on working on cars, and from then on out I was car crazy.

Two years later in Feburary of 06, my girlfriends brother got the 2006 STi. It was Blue with Gold Rims, and upon laying eyes on it, I was in love. But from then on out I knew I had to have one.

Three years later, in April 09, after being rear ended and t-boned in my VW I knew it was time to get my Subie. With enough money saved up, I went out and bought a White 2006 STi with Gold Rims. Was the happiest day of my life!! My dream car was finally mine.

Soon after purchasing the upgrades began. Had the fog lights installed in the front and added the Chargespeed Type 2 front lip. What drew me to this lip aside from matching the existing STi front instead of going straight across was the way it formed up on the sides like little wings.

Next up came the stereo system. I had the Pioneer Z1 HDD/ DVD Touchscreen Head unit installed which included Bluetooth and XM. I also replaced all the speakers with Infinity Reference Series speakers and upgraded to a 650watt amp and added the Subaru Slim Subwoofer under the front driver seat. With the Pioneer HDD installed I had a 12 disc cd player installed into the trunk.

The next step was to dress up the interior a little bit more. I love the blue race interior oon the STi and didnt think the grey headlining did it any justice. So to match the seats I had the entire headlining redone with an exact match of Blue Suede headliner to match the seats and carpet.

After the headliner was finished I added the ESX Boost Guage to accent the already beautiful Tach and Speedometer

Not Knowing what else to do to the interior I went back to the exterior and added a Perrin Wing Support to prevent the spoiler from bouncing. I noticed that there is a lot of bounce in my girlfriends brothers and just couldnt stand to see mine bounce also. Around the same time I installed the Wing Support I also had the Subaru Short Shifter installed. It wasn't a terrible amount of difference but it felt super sweet.

Then I turned to the suspension. I havent touched the actual strut towers yet but I added front and rear Tein Strut Tower Performance Bars. Also while working on the front Strut Tower Bar I was becoming annoyed with the hood rod and decieded to get the Tein Hood Dampers.

Then I thought to myself, what do all turbo cars need to accent the turbo, a Blow Off Valve! So I bought the Greddy Type RS BOV. It was the best looking BOV on the market, in my opinion.

After putting the money into my car I began getting paronoid that something was going to happen to my car so I had an alarm system installed. I went for the Ravelco NoHotWire System. Basically connecting fuel system, started, coilpacks to a main unit that unless its plugged in the car cannot be hotwired. To further protect it, all the wires were replaced with all black wiring so that one cant figure out which wire is to what. So now if the car is bumped into or window broken the Revelco alarm goes off, if the car is started with the Revelco plugged in but with the alarm engaged the Subaru main alarm kicks in. So two alarm systems for max security.

About a month ago the battery died and had to be replaced, so I decided to go with the Red Topped Optima High Performance Battery.

As Of Thanksgiving, I decided to give my Greddy BOV to my girlfriends Subie and upgrade mine to a bit louder one, I know people have discouraged against the BOV but personally I love the sound of it, so im keeping it. I decided to go with the Turbo XS RFL, and yes it really is ****ing loud!!

In the last couple weeks I havent done much but have added a few decals to the front window and driver side rear window. On the front window I have the Spec C sticker and one the side window I have my SubieTech HQ sticker.

I have some more plans for the future including the APR Rear Diffuser and exhaust system along with an ARC Induction Box and lightweight pulley. So Ill keep you posted. Let me know what you think and if any questions let me know.

Recently my girlfriend got an 07 WRX, so now her brother, my girlfriend and myself all enjoy Subaru =)
