Default Bue Car's 1995 EJ251 Rally Sedan

Time to start over! I started a rally build, sold it, and it's been used twice this year in real rally's, only to survive and keep going strong! The build can be found here:

I found this gem on rs25.com 08/02 and drove up to check it out the next day!

Checked it out in person. Such detailed pics

08/09/16

The seller packed her in a box truck to come to LAX.

08/14/2016

Picked up the car from LAX. Towed her home. Yep, FWD. I'll fix that quick. Sadly you will notice the passenger door trim is now missing and dented

I guess the front end was not bolted up on this end...

08/18/2016

Went to Pacific Subaru and grabbed a new hub bolt that was missing. Also the axle pin as well. That was missing too.

Why did you sell the last one instead of finishing it. It was so close.

It's been a while. Let me know if you're ever in Vegas. My number is still the same.

I was almost done and someone came into the shop looking to build a car, likes mine and we made a deal

A Vegas trip would be fun soon.

Got it. Kurt has been having fun with it. Just seems like a pain to have to do it all over again, seems like that's what makes you tick though lol.

Let's go play on the dry lake.

As soon as I get her running and moving, it's a date.

When I bought the car, it came with 2 spares in front and 2 Legacy 15" wheels in the rear. Until I pick up and wrap some Team Dynamics (coming very soon), I put on some 2007 2.5i wheels I have. I also wanted to fix the axle & ball joint for now.

Vroom vroom

Weight savings courtesy of FWD

Just poking around, I notice the front lateral links have slid backwards over the bushings

Driver outside bushing

Passenger outside bushing

One rear stud is toast

All good, it's all up for grabs with the rest of my FWD parts

With the rear done, I moved to the front.

Driver steering rack boot

Driver outer axle boot - time for replacements!

The secret to power with a 1.8

Ok, time to fix up the passenger side. I only glanced to see what was missing and ordered the
bolt and pin. That was enough to get the car rolling for now.

Passenger steering rack boot

This joint is beyond toast

Passenger tie rod castle nut is seized

Fresh bolt & washer

Since everything was so bad and I am just rolling the car around a bit until replacing parts, I just zip tied the axle in place. Works perfect for not

Going to put the wheel on, I realized something is missing... heh

Looking a little more normal

Should I keep this with the EJ251?
