The Army effed up my pay so i haven't been able to order wheels yet. Hopefully that'll be resolved soon so i can get them ordered up. In the meantime,

the AR Street rotors showed up to my house today.. Can't wait to see them in person and install them in another month!

The packaging lol.. WTF is that **** i don't know. I've gotten a cell phone case in better packaging.

I'm quite upset about it.. Paid a good amount for them, so i'd expect them to be at least packaged like they weren't free

From the pictures they all look ok/undamaged, but i'll have to wait until i see them in person to find out for sure.

Should go for dimpled or slotted only rotors next time around. While I'm not really familiar with this particular brand of rotor, almost all of the drilled rotors I've seen tend to spider web and crack around the drilling holes after awhile if the driver is using the brakes hard. Even the good, really well known brands have this issue. I think it's probably just the expansion/cooling that gets to them.

I originally planned on DBA's, but i'd figure it'd be better to support the little guy. But for a made-to-order product, and no return/refund sale.. It's just disappointing. Next time i'll go DBA. Actually, I'm probably just going to sell them and end up with the DBA's. What if they were damaged in during shipment? I'd be ****ed. Not what i like to support.

I'll be getting a lip eventually. I just want to see some in person before i decide what to get. Until i see my options, i'm leaning towards the HT Auto's full lip/skirt package.

If you fellas decide to go the DBA route just drop me a line and I can get you a set. You could get a set of the new t-slot rotors like I run on my wagon for RallyX. With the right pads their quiet, and work awesome.

Rotors are made from iron so their pretty stout. It's pretty unlikely that those we're damaged at all during shipping. DBA's packaging really isn't too much more impressive other then they come coated in oil in a sealed plastic bag to prevent surface rust. And they have a neat looking box haha.

What really makes a rotor good or bad is the composition of the materials it's made out of and it's internal structural design. Neither of which I can tell you about by just looking at those rotors. All I can tell you for certain is that the majority of drilled rotors I've seen have stress cracks around the drilling holes when cycled to high temps. Slotted or dimpled rotors don't suffer from the same issue.

So I'm finally back in America.

Have a bunch of stuff to install and have only gotten a couple of things done.. The JDM center console and Flossy Knob.

Both are awesome.

Attempted to install the rally armor mudflaps last night.. That was unsuccessful. Their directions sucked. And all the locknuts they including were the wrong size. Not even pitch, just way to tiny. Ended up at lowes, home depot and eventually Ace to find the correct size locknuts. I was raging by the time I got back so I gave up the install and will continue eveything else I have to do on Sunday.

I've got a bunch of FJ crap to install that's priority today
